Stereo/LCR/Multi-channel Sound

I have built stereo and multi-channel sound systems, but need to write something. This will be about such considerations as why you might want stereo, why you might not, legitimate ways to do it, computer analysis and practicality. Music production and theater systems (including many big churches that have more in common with theaters than country churches).
